Privacy Policy

Last updated May 5, 2026

This site is operated by John Eric Forte (“I”, “me”, “my”). I take your privacy seriously and only collect what's necessary to do business with you. This policy explains what data is collected, how it's used, and your rights, including under GDPR (EU) and DPA (Philippines).

What I Collect

  • Email address when you contact me or subscribe to the newsletter
  • Calendar booking data via Calendly when you schedule a call
  • Contact form messages, including the brief text you write. Briefs are processed by Google Gemini to generate a short summary that arrives in my inbox alongside the raw message
  • Anonymous analytics via Umami (cookieless, no personal identifiers)

How I Use It

  • To respond to your inquiries and deliver the work you hire me for
  • To send the newsletter (only if you opted in)
  • To understand how the site is used in aggregate (no individual tracking)

Third Parties

A small number of trusted services handle specific tasks. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Calendly: call scheduling
  • Resend: transactional email delivery
  • Kit (ConvertKit): newsletter delivery
  • Umami Cloud: privacy-first analytics
  • Google (Gemini API): AI summary of incoming contact-form briefs
  • Vercel: hosting

I do not sell your data. I do not share it with anyone except the providers listed above for the purposes described.

Your Rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your data at any time, including unsubscribing from the newsletter, removing your contact information from my records, or requesting an export of everything I hold on you.

Email johnerictorresforte@gmail.com and I'll respond within seven days.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. Analytics is handled via Umami, which is cookieless. If a third-party embed (e.g. video) is added in the future, that may change. A cookie banner will appear at that point.

Updates

I'll update this page if data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
